Market Cap
Market capitalization ("market cap") is the total dollar value of all circulating units of a cryptocurrency, calculated as price × circulating supply. Bitcoin and Ethereum are the dominant assets by market cap; their combined cap typically exceeds 70% of the entire crypto market.
Market cap is a rough proxy for an asset's institutional acceptability. Higher cap usually correlates with deeper liquidity, more exchange listings, and lower volatility relative to smaller coins.
Why it matters for Milo customers
Milo accepts BTC and ETH because they're the two highest-cap crypto assets — the size of those markets is what lets Milo size loans against them confidently. Smaller-cap altcoins, even high-profile ones, don't meet the bar.
